My story

A childhood cradled by nature

My name is Loanne and I'm going to explain to you how my company Coton et Astrance was born.

I was born into a family close to nature and had a childhood divided between my home on the Opal Coast and my deeply rooted roots in Savoie. Growing up surrounded by forests, mountains, wildflowers, sea, sand, and shells, I developed a deep connection with life, a particular sensitivity to the small details that we only notice by taking the time to observe. It was only natural that my basic studies focused on landscapes, plants, and ecology.

From market gardening to creation: a reconversion of the heart

After a few years spent in floral production and then in organic farming, I felt the need to rediscover a more creative, more sensory relationship with nature. Passionate about drawing, sewing and manual activities since childhood, I decided to devote myself to artisanal creation.

I started with sewing, self-taught: a kimono, corsets, a 17th-century inspired costume... Then, I discovered the world of cosplay and craft, mixing the making of accessories, armor, and costumes by hand. This universe opened up an infinite number of creative possibilities for me.

A unique style and a committed approach

I've always had my own way of dressing. I've explored many alternative styles – gothic, vintage, grunge, bohemian, cottagecore… – and I quickly realized how difficult it is to find original, ethical, and quality clothing and accessories without going through large foreign brands.

It is this observation that pushed me to create my own brand of natural, handmade, sustainable, and locally produced jewelry and accessories .

My inspiration, the poetry of details

My creations are nourished by the fragile and ephemeral beauty of nature: a drop of water after the rain, a butterfly perched on a flower, a moss at the foot of a tree... During my walks, I often take my camera with me to capture these suspended moments.

I like to transcribe these emotions in my pieces: a floral weave, a natural stone, a touch of lace, a dried flower, a jewel adorned with iridescent reflections. Each creation carries within it a fragment of the season, an ode to freedom and the wild.

An ecological and local approach

I make it a point of honor to work with natural and responsible materials , sourced from French or European suppliers and designers. This allows me to support local artisans, guarantee better production conditions, and reduce the carbon impact of my creations.

  • Beads and ornaments: stone, wood, mother-of-pearl, stainless steel, zamac or glass
  • Threads: made from natural cotton fibers from a French manufacturer
  • Color: with inks certified free of toxic substances
  • Packaging: Recyclable envelopes and cardboard boxes made in Europe. (I give a second life to the boxes I have already received)
  • Delivery: exclusively within the European Union to avoid journeys by boat or plane.

Everything is designed to respect people, the planet and the beauty of simple things.

An invitation to be yourself

Through my creations, I aim to offer an alternative to standardized, impersonal, or fast-fashion products. I envision a world for those who want to assert their style, their sensibility, and their love of natural and handmade products.

Each piece is carefully designed, from the initial sketch to the final touches, in my small workshop nestled in the Hauts-de-France region or amidst the magnificent landscapes of Savoie.

And you, do you share the same values?

Welcome to my world 🌸
